Samsung has officially launched Galaxy R, which was earlier rumored to be named as Galaxy Z. The smartphone is a trimmed down version of Galaxy SII, but is still expected to be a hit in the market. It has a 4.2 inch Super Clear LCD unlike the Super AMOLED Plus display of Galaxy SII. It seems, the manufacturer is not in a mood to compromise with the hardware of the phone and has decided to stick to the dual-core processor for Galaxy R (though, the processor type has yet not been disclosed). The phone has Gingerbread OS, 1GB RAM, and 8GB internal memory. Camera has been reduced to 5MP but the device can capture HD 720p videos @25fps and can play 1080p HD videos. No changes have been made in the connectivity specs of the phone and it will still have Bluetooth v3.0 plus Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support. Coming to the look n feel of the device – Just 9.5mm thick device appears to be the exact replica of Galaxy S2. The metallic design makes the device feel sturdy in hands. Other featur
