Mobile Phones Expected To-be Out in 2012


The series of new launches, mobile OS upgrades, and tremendous improvement in hardware specs have altogether made 2011, a great year for cellphone industry. We witnessed a tough competition between Android, iOS, and Windows 7.5 Mango in the last quarter of the year. 2012 has already arrived, but the fight is still on. The enthusiasm to come-up with a better & more powerful device has increased even more.

So, what is the year 2012 going to unfold for the gadget lovers? Which much-awaited devices are going to get launched this year? Let’s try to sneak into the world of mobile phones & make a wish list of devices we would like get our hands-on. Though, no official specs info has been revealed by manufacturers, we are only talking about the news spread in cellphone industry.

Samsung Galaxy SIII


After the tremendous success of Galaxy SII in 2011, Samsung is all-set to introduce the new Galaxy SIII. The phone will be bundled with latest Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich. Other highlights of the phone will be the quadcore processor and 2GB RAM. The screen will definitely be bigger and better, may be 4.65 inch Super AMOLED HD display.

Samsung Galaxy SIII will come with powerful 12MP camera and 2250mAh battery. The phone might have 32GB internal storage and SD card slot for memory expansion.

Nokia 900 Ace


The big brother of Lumia 800, Nokia 900 Ace is rumoured to be introduced in 2012 International CES in Las Vegas. It has just been 2 months when Lumia 800 was launched globally & the phone has been successful in creating a buzz amongst gadgeteers. Though, there are still some flaws in the Lumia 800, but Nokia is determined to introduce the upgraded 900 Ace very soon in market.

If rumours are to be believed, 900 Ace will be the first LTE 4G device available for Windows Mango OS. The phone will have 4.3 inch screen, which is 0.6 inch bigger than Lumia 800. The processor will still be 1.4GHz single-core. Many are expecting the new Windows Mango phone to come with a front camera and 1830mAh battery.

HTC Edge


With stunning features, the HTC Edge is surely going to give a tough competition to Samsung Galaxy SIII. The phone is nevertheless than Galaxy SIII, when we talk about the hardware. It is too bundled with Ice Cream Sandwich, the newest Android mobile OS.

HTC Edge will come with 4.7 inch display, 1GB RAM, and may be a Quadcore 1.5GHz processor. The biggest talk about this device is its expectancy to come with Tegra 3 chipset, which is the latest in the market. HTC EDGE will have 8MP camera.

Amazon Blaze


It was in the month of April last year that news of Amazon Blaze had spread in the industry, but no updates came out later. We are again expecting Amazon to unveil its smartphone in 2012.

Amazon Blaze has been making waves in the Android blogosphere for quite a long time now. The phone is said to feature 4.3 inch Mirasol display technology, which none of the other handsets in the market have. It will be running on 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8660 processor and 512MB RAM. Internal memory of Blaze might be 32GB.

Though NFC support hasn’t been confirmed, but people are talking about Blaze to be DLNA & NFC enabled. The phone is said to be just 9.5mm thick, and it will have 5MP primary & 1.3MP secondary camera, 1700mAh battery, and a solar panel on battery cover. Well! That’s something new for the 2012 Smartphones.

iPhone 5


All eyes were set upon the launch of iPhone 5 on October 4, Apple gave a shock by introducing iPhone 4S. Now, people have again started talking about the iPhone 5 launch in 2012. Apple has decided to remain quiet on this topic but we obviously can’t stop people from predicting a lot of things about the iPhone 5.

So, the iPhone 5 is said to come with 4 inch display and it might be 8mm longer than the iPhone 4S. The device will probably have aluminium casing, which will further add onto the superb looks. In case, iPhone 5 comes with a quad core processor, the RAM will be increased to 1GB. There are talks in the market that iPhone 5 will have latest A6 chipset – Well! That’s too much to say right now because Apple products are always unpredictable.
