OnePlus 7 Pro Review - Find out What's Inside

The long wait is over. After months of leaks and rumors, OnePlus has entered the ‘ultra-premium’ space with the OnePlus 7 Pro. The first look seems impressive and when you get into the technical specifications, you will fall in love with this phone. Without further ado, let’s dig deeper into what this premium device has to offer.

Display

The OnePlus 7 Pro comes with 6.6-inch Fluid AMOLED display, which is so far the most advanced screen. The phone has QHD+ resolution with the refresh rate of 90 Hz to give an amazing clarity to the display. Since OnePlus 7 Pro has a curved edge-to-edge design, users will have an immersive viewing experience. The Upgraded Screen Unlock technology in the phone reduces the unlock time to 0.21 seconds, which is just fantastic, especially when you run out of patience to wait for the phone to unlock.

Camera

Sporting a triple rear-camera, OnePlus 7 Pro comes with a whopping 48-megapixel primary camera that has an aperture of f/1.6 and OIS to provide better stability during photography. The front camera has 16-megapixel sensor. The interesting part is that the front camera pops up, whenever used. The camera comes with features including:
  • UltraShot
  • Optical Image Stabilization
  • Ultra Wide Angle lens
  • Portrait mode
  • 3x optical zoom
  • Nightscape 2.0 for bright and detailed cityscapes shots

The front camera is built to last. You can take 150 selfies every day for the next 5.5 years without worrying that it will wear down.

Battery

OnePlus 7 Pro is an excellent solution to your battery woes. The phone comes with a bigger 4000 mAh battery and can keep going for more than a day. The Warp Charge technology, on the other hand, ensures that the phone is 50 percent charged in 20 minutes. Now, that’s too true to believe. Another feature that you will love about the phone is Warp Charge 30 that lets you use the phone while it’s charging. This 10-layer liquid cooling system isolates the heat generated during charging, which means your phone will not heat up.

Power

Built on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 platform, OnePlus 7 Pro has an octa-core processor to provide you 45 percent more speed than other generation processors. Besides the most advanced processor, the phone comes with up 12 GB RAM that lets you run 64 apps simultaneously without experiencing the slowdown. Another feature that OnePlus is proud of is the UFS 3.0 storage that increases the read and write speed of the phone by 79 percent. You can now install heavy games at a speed that’s five times more than other Android flagship devices.

Storage space of up to 256 GB saves you from the hassle of transferring data to the cloud and other devices just because you run out of space quickly.

What else you are going to love?

OnePlus 7 Pro comes with Haptic vibration motor that improves your interaction with the phone. Every touch is more powerful, adding to a better UI experience. The phone comes with Dual speakers and Dolby Atoms so that you get crystal-clear sound and immersive listening experience.

The Verdict

OnePlus 7 Pro is the perfect example of fine craftsmanship. Everything from the look and feel of the device to UI to features to power give a premium feel to the user. The only thing you might dislike is that the phone weighs 206 grams because of the glass back and aluminum frame. Believe us, even the weight and size has got their own charm.

Price

8GB/256GB - 52,999

Technology has evolved and so have the features in our mobile phones. There was a time when mobile phones were only used for making/ receiving calls, that too at high tariffs. Talks about the launch of Apple iPhone 5 were in the air for the last 6 months or so, but Apple gave tech lovers a shock by introducing the iPhone 4S. The new intelligent antenna system will not only improve the call quality, but also increase the connection speed. How can we miss out on the all-new and much talked-about iOS5 and Siri. Using both, you can make your device perform multiple tasks just by speaking. You can ask questions like “Which day is Christmas falling this year?” or “The weather in Delh...

It was 6 months back, Nokia officially announced that its new phone will be running on Windows. And the company has recently launched two Windows phones, Lumia 800 and 710 in market. Running on OS 7.5 Mango, both the phones have received a mixed response in market. Now, the next big question is, will Nokia be able to re-establish itself in the market with Windows mobile? Microsoft’s Philosophy Microsoft doesn’t believe in post PC World. The software giant has always tried to keep the products in its very own ecosystem.
